In approx 1934 my Irish Catholic Mom attended her mother's funeral and a song was sung called "Come Dry Those Tears." Mom has asked that song be sung at her funeral, but I cannot find the song anywhere. Any ideas? Thanks so much for your help!

Hello there. Welcome to the discussion forums for the christian funeral music list.

I've been keeping the list of music suitable for funeral services for longer than I can recall accurately. My best guess is I started it around 1993. It all started when I saw a Christian Wedding Music list on rec.music.christian newsgroup. I wanted to contribute to the list but I couldn't think of any music I'd want played at a wedding...but I sure could think of some I'd like played at a funeral - so the Christian Funeral Music list was born.

It started as a text file on rec.music.christian and progressed to a web page, then on my blog, to offer the opportunity for comments. Since being on the blog I get a lot of queries asking about certain music and where to get it or if I know a certain song from a few words they heard sometime. Really tough, I am no officianado on funeral or any other music - Io know what I like and that's about it. Some of these comments were being answered by other readers of the list and so came the impetus for this site and this forum was born.

Over time I will improve things by linking the list contributors to the discussion etc.

Meanwhile, please feel free to register and join in the talk. There's currently two forums - one for talking about music on the list, the other for talking about finding songs, helping others find music or just sharig about what you like. If required I'll add others as needed.

Peace.

Dave
